Annual Oklahoma Meat Goat Association Production Sale
  Sale Day  November 14, 2009

The OMGA will be holding it's annual production sale on November 14, 2009 at the Creek Co. Fairgrounds in Kellyville, OK.  The sale will start at 5:00 PM. 
The sale goats will need to be at the barn by 11:00 AM.  We will have a catalog again this year.  Please check the forms provided for catalog consignment deadline dates.
Catalog goats will sell first, followed by all other goats.  There will be several activities going on that day. 
We will have several seminars starting at 1:00 PM.  Dr. Steve Hart of Langston University will be doing a seminar on parasites and
Dr. Lionel Dawson of Okla. State University will be doing a seminar on goat health plus we will have seminars on showing, fitting, and selection of show animals.
The OMGA will host a free BBQ dinner provided by the Olive FFA booster club for everyone attending the sale.  The meal will start being served at 4:00 PM.

Cards Due at Noon.  The prospect wether and doe futurity will start at 1:00 PM.  This show is open only to animals that were bought through the Summer Sizzler Sales at Cushing and El Reno. 
All goats entered must have the sale tag in the ear.  There will be no entry fee for this show but it will have a good payout.
This sale is held for all of our OMGA and OYMGA members as a way of marketing and selling their animals.  We encourage everyone to attend and participate.

Please make plans to attend the OMGA breeders production sale on November 14, 2009 at the Ceek Co. Fairgrounds in Kellyville, OK.  The sale will start at 5:00 P.M.
All goats must arrive on the sale facilities by 11:00 A.M.
Rules for the sale:
1.Consignors must be a member in good standing with the OMGA or OYMGA.
2.Catalog fee is $10 per head and is non refundable.  The deadline for cataloging goats will be November 1, 2009.
3.Each consignor may sale 1 buck and if additional bucks are to be sold the consignor must have at least 4 does consigned for each additional buck.
4.Each consignor will pay a 10% commission fee and if the animal is passed out and not sold the consignor will pay a $15 pass out fee.
5.All cataloged goats will be sifted by OMGA personnel following accepted and approved AMGA standards.
6.Consignors must have their registered goats tattooed and the tattoo must correspond with the registration papers.
7.All goats selling without registration papers must have scrapie tags in the ear prior to arriving on the sale site.
8.Consignors will be paid withing 7-10 days following the sale.
9.Cataloged goats will sell first.
