Wether & Doe Futurity Sale

The rules of the futurity are relatively simple and are outlined below. You can purchase a
top quality wether or doe at the sale and show them at our show back futurity.
CONSIGNOR RULES:
1. Consignor must be a member in good standing with the OMGA or OYMGA
to consign animals to these sales.
2. There will be a $10 per head fee on all goats consigned to the sale, nonrefundable
if you don’t make the sift. This money will go towards futurity
premiums.
3. Each consignor will pay a 10% commission fee on each animal sold.
4. All goats will be sifted and shown for sale order.
5. Consignors will be paid 7-10 days following sale.
6. The goats do not have to be pre-entered for the sale. They have to be in the
barn by 2:00 P.M. sale day.
7. All animals will be tagged with an official futurity tag on sale day after being
sold.
8. Wethers and does will both be eligible for the futurity show back.
SHOW BACK EXHIBITOR RULES:
1. Exhibitor must be 18 years of age and under and have not graduated high
school.
2. Exhibitor must own the animal.
3. Points earned are not transferable to any other animal or person.
4. Exhibitor must show their own goat within a class. If they have more than
one in a class a substitute showman is allowed.
5. All goats must have official sale tag in ear on day of show. If a tag is lost you
must notify a board member immediately.
The futurity show will be held on Saturday October 25, 2008 in conjunction with the
annual fall production sale at the Olive FFA Show Barn.
All Futurity goats must arrive and be weighed in for the futurity show no later than
10:00 A.M. on show day.

The barn is located approx. 7 miles east of Drumright off Hwy. 33.  Turn north off Hwy. 33 at the Happy Corner Store. 
Go approx. 2 miles to Olive Baptist Church.  Turn west at the Church and go to the school. 
Follow the drive on the north end of the school around behind the baseball field to the show barn.
